Fps limit

No offense, but could anyone please explain the advantages of disabling the fps cap? Its always good to laugh, so i dont wanna miss a single one
Bear in mind that everyone got a different pc system, devices and equipment. Means everyone got different fps => some got less, some got more, some are capped.
So there is no sense to complain about fps at all.
In consideration of that, this rule is unbeatable ridiculous. Did i say 'unbeatable'? hahahaha
There is only one reason why the developers installed a fps cap:
Instead of gaining advantages, you will only gather an instable, bugged game with horrible lags and incorrect/lost packets.
Blows my mind that such a rule exists.


One more thing..
There is something i will never understand in swat community: Its the only one, where people are bitching about modified configs.

Look at counterstrike and call of duty for example. Everyone is using modified configs or manually modfy them. You can even set your fps to any value you want.
Does anyone cry? No...
Please dont tell me that configs for counterstrike/call of duty are free to download etc...
If you have no idea how to modify your swat configs you may search for some sources, they are free available on the world wide web.


@admins: No need to feel offended, i respect and appreciate your good work here and enjoyed all tournaments i participated so far. But i do not understand why such a ridiculous rule exist and why you defend it. Unbelievable that teams receive a Lost because of such crap.

in my opinion match should be restarted with rules this time cuz it looks like a heavy rule (making lose 1 team cuz of that when they won) they r human they can forget sometimes im sure if they play this match even 1000 times they will still win it but losing won matches looks strange a bit.

will see how this discussion wil go, basing on the result we will change a rule or will keep it as it is or change that penalty thingy. i might add a quick poll tommorow

as a note atm if any matches will be played they have to be played accrding to the CURRENT rules.

so to get this straight:

you call this rule ridiculous, i would just stay by calling it a RULE EVERYBODY HAS TO STICK TO.
wether you think its stupid or sensless or whatever, the rules had been set up, there was plenty of time duiscuss or complain about them.
i dont care if its this rule someone broke or another rule, all teams claimed that: "We accept and will follow the 1.1 Bs Tournament Rules". which means: we play by the rules and accept consequences if we dont

the penalty of not using stat fps in console leads to a match lost, so where everybody complains now? there was enough time before the tournament started.

Nobody is bigger than the rules, not even we admins, we all have to stick by the rules, and i highly recommend that every single played does it too, so we dont have to keep talking trash about those kind of things

full responsibility for organizing this takes me and Nagi. True is that moderators were `hiered` to update score tables and check results about tournament rules.

I understand Dash that you want to help, and thanks for your opinion, but this dem stat fps lazy bastards thing is going to be too serious and final word will have Nagi (and me if ill be online)

Well as i thought, i was going to reply moderators are not admins and final decisions are not entirely up to us and also i'll try to talk to nagi if i get time about this because this is causing some issues to teams and players..

But back to the Topic:

As I said, rules are rules, so i think it should stand, but as there were too many complaints about the descision taken, i voted to change the penalty.

a)Remove fps rule: Atm there are 5 matches played and 4 of them were played with stat fps by all players as far as I know so I think this rule shouldn't be a problem... I can understand that someone can forget about set stat fps before to start the match but if it was established as a rule, it musn't be broken.

The problem is what if:

*b)Keep it as it is: Should ''modify'' that ''penalty'' against who don't set ''stat fps'',it doesn't matter what team win or lose, just the team/s who breaks that rule in any match. Could be a rule, for example: penalty with (-1) point in group table for team/s who didn't set stat fps (winners and/or losers). From my point of view its hard a penalty with match lost against of the team/s so thats why I exposed an easy example to modify that rule.

We could follow like this:

According to the Group match pointing:
1) Win = 2 points;----- team win and breaks rule will be subtracted a point, get 1 point in group table
2) Tie = 1 points;----- team tie and breaks rule will be subtracted a point, get 0 point in group table
3) Loosing = no points;-----team loses and breaks rule will be subtracted a point, get -1 point in group table

In a hypothetical match where a team wins breaking stat fps rule will be subtracted a point in that match how I explained before... but if the same team don't set again stat fps in any different match, they will be penalized/subtrateced with another (-1) point in that match.

I mean it could look like football system , 1 penalty in a match (1 yellow card so (-1)). Another penalty in other match (other 1 yellow card so other (-1). So 2 yellow cards on tournament automatically will be subtracted a point more so other (-1), in total will be (-3). All this system is thought to avoid some advantage for who could break this rule continually.


1st penalty= 1st yellow card= (-1) point
2nd penalty= 2nd yellow card= (-1) point
and automatically
3rd penalty= red card = (-1) point

I think when someone watchs that their point on group table is going down coz don't obey this rule, then will remember better about stat fps :p. All this is done to avoid some advantage for who break this rule continually. I mean it will be always penalized the team breaks this rule without a big advantage or without a big disadvantage, just remember them what they must use this rule mandatorily


*c) Change penalty to "rematch"

[if both teams break this rule about set stat fps is now when it should only have a rematch]

If you change this rule ‘’stat fps’’ to rematch option, ppl who loses in next matchs could find always an excuse to not use stat fps in that match coz they want to play another match or some bullshit …that is to say, on their mind they will think to have always a second chance, which it won’t be good for the tournament.


And now about this match: I could say what sttus forgot to set ‘’stat fps’’ how someone else could forget( even, why not me)...but what u guys must think is about how tournament will go on the future after to modify or change this rule.

only if winning team didnt follow this rule it should be rematch.
its pointless to even think it would be rematch after losing team didnt follow this rule.

imo rematch will cause more troubles in arranging as i dont see much activity here for example tm hasnt played rematch vs cm yet eventhough they were one of firsts who played something. I see good arguments from smash and rugi to remove this rule.
